As technology advances, light pollution has erased the stars from the night sky, while AI has displaced humans from their cities. The player, blessed by the power of the stars, fights against machines to reclaim lost spaces and reduce artificial light. Through music-powered abilities, the player restores starlight to the sky, allowing the stars to return to human sight.
The initial idea for this game came from a sudden moment of inspiration:
why not create a game where rhythm mechanics support combat-focused gameplay?
Rhythm games are usually designed as a standalone genre. Even when combined with other formats—such as rhythm-based runners or visually driven games like Rhythm Heaven—the core experience remains centered on rhythm itself.
This project explores a different approach: using rhythm mechanics to enhance combat rather than define the entire game. Successful rhythm inputs provide feedback beyond scoring, directly influencing combat actions. At the same time, players can choose to treat the rhythm system as background music and focus on mastering higher-difficulty combat.
This dual-layer design offers flexible play styles and creates a more dynamic and engaging combat experience.
